“For My Mother” — The Story Behind RSF

Losing a parent is never easy. Watching my mother, Rashda Nazneen, battle Hepatitis C for over 13 years left a wound I still carry. I was too young to help, but old enough to feel the silent grief in our home. She never complained—only gave. Even in pain, she was a shelter for others.

After her passing, I prayed: Ya Allah, let me keep her kindness alive. A water cooler installed in her name became the seed of something greater. A small clothing business gave way to a calling: build a foundation in her name.

And so, the Rashda Sher Foundation was born—not as charity, but as healing. A movement of compassion. A legacy of love.
